MDOT'S Schultz honored by ITS MichiganPRESS RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE RELASE: Oct. 4, 2011 CONTACT: Craig Bryson, 248-645-2000, ext. 2302; e-mail: cbryson@rcoc.org Visit ITS Michigan online at www.itsmi.org Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) Metro Region Manager of Planning Jim Schultz was honored by the Intelligent Transportation Society of Michigan (ITS Michigan) Board of Directors recently, when the Board presented him with a plaque honoring Schultz for his many years of service to ITS Michigan.Schultz, a resident of Troy, served as the secretary/treasurer for the ITS Michigan Board of Directors for 12 years. He retired recently from the Board after his responsibilities changed at MDOT.
ITS Michigan members include private corporations, public agencies and academic institutions involved in the research, development, design, sales, installation and deployment of ITS technologies. The organization provides a central point of contact where representatives of industry, government and academia can find common ground and work together toward mutual ITS-related goals. In addition to advocacy, ITS Michigan provides a forum that allows a diverse group of people to provide insight on current ITS projects as well as develop and refine ideas for the future.
