Michigan 511 Statewide Strategic Plan

511 is a phone-based travel information system that has been implemented in several states. The objective of 511 is to provide travelers with an easy-to-remember three-digit number where they can access important information about road and travel conditions, public transportation, and weather that could impact travel on roads and highways. The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is leading a Statewide Strategic Plan and feasibility study to see if implementing a 511 service in Michigan in feasible.
